KITTY'S STUFFING

Prepare Wild Rice(aprox 1 cup cooked)

Prepare Corn bread (cornbread box mix is fine)cool and break into pieces and dry.

Mix dried cornbread and cooked wild rice in large bowl.

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 Medium Onions chopped
  • 4 Ribs celery chopped
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms
  • 4 Large Apples cut into 1/2" pieces
  • 1 pound Pork Sausage
  • 1/4 cup Almond slices
  • 2 Tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1 cup Apple cider

    In sauce pan melt 1/2 cup butter, add 2 medium onions, Celery, mushrooms. Cook until tender, about 10 minutes. Stir in Apples, cook 5 minutes more. Remove from heat.

    In Skillet cook sausage over medium heat till brown, 7-10 minutes. Add to stuffing with 1/4 cup Almond Slivers, and Ginger.

    Melt 1/4 cup butter, pour over stuffing, add 1 cup Apple Cider, (more to moisten if needed)

    Bake in Turkey or in Pan.
