MUD RIVER SAND BARS

 

preheat oven to 350* F.                                                  (read whole recipe before starting)

2 1/2 cups white flour                  

1 1/2 cups old fashioned rolled oats

1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed.

2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 1/2 cups melted butter

1/2 cup chopped pecans

1/4 tsp butter flavor

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

In large bowl combine flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, soda, salt, Stir in pecans, melted butter, butter flavoring and vanilla extract.

Press down firmly into 14x18 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes.

melt over med heat in saucepan 1 14oz bag of carmels, 1 cup of cream, 1/4 tsp butter flavoring and 1 tsp vanilla extract. stir constantly,

pour over crust,

top with 1 cup chopped pecans,

1 large (7 oz ) hersheys milk chocolate bar grated up,

Bake another 15 minutes. cool.

will be gooey until cooled. slice before it is too cool.

 (this is also really good still warm and gooey with some ice cream on top).
